Are you interested in Bible prophecy? It's really amazing stuff. For instance, did you know that the United States (in alliance with Britain) are the feet and toes of the statue described in the Book of Daniel? The statue, as a whole, makes for a very interesting and informational study, and ultimately it teaches us that God's Kingdom will replace all of the earthly kingdoms, once and for all (Daniel 2:31-45). This will be sooner than most people think.
The Book of Revelation, another prophetic book, shows us exactly where we are in these last days, and what the earthly governments are going to soon accomplish (Rev. 17:15-18). You may not have already heard that there will come to be the destruction of religion. Prophecy has shown that when the destruction of religion happens, we will know that the great tribulation has begun.
Perhaps this sounds ridiculous and far-fetched to you. Consider that this is why the "empire of false religion" was given the title "Babylon the Great" (Rev. 17:5; 18:1). Not only can all false religions be traced back to their roots in Babylon, but back in the day, they thought Babylon could never be destroyed as well. And just the same as Babylon's destruction was, the destruction of religion will be unexpected and swift also (Rev.18:8). A very fitting title.
I don't look forward to the great tribulation, as it will be so hard for God's people. However, I am not as fearful as I used to be, because I know that it marks the end of all of mankind's troubles. A better way of thinking about it is that these are the "last days" for:
*sickness
*sadness
*pain
*hunger
*homelessness
*hatred
*prejudices
*war
*death
*opposition to God and the standards he sets forth
I know many more things could be added to that list, but the point has been made. All of mankind's woes will be a thing of the past (Isaiah 65:17). Under God's Kingdom rulership, the Bible promises:
*the blind will see (Isaiah 35:5)
*the deaf will hear (Isaiah 35:5)
*the lame will walk (Isaiah 35:6)
*The mute will speak (Isaiah 35:6)
*there will be food and water for everyone (Isaiah 65:21; Psalm 72:16)
*there will be homes for everyone (Isaiah 65:21)
*sickness will be no more (Isaiah 33:24)
*death will be no more (Isaiah 25:8; Rev. 21:4)
*war will be no more (Micah 4:3)
*tears will be no more (Isaiah 65:19)
*loved-ones will be reunited, released from the bonds of death (John 5:28,29)
*worship will be united under the one true God (Psalm 150:6; Rev. 5:13)
*happiness, joy and love for one another will abound (Psalm 37:10,11; Micah 4:4)
*The earth will no longer be ruined (Isaiah 11:9;Rev. 11:18)
*humans and animals will coexist peacefully (Isaiah 11:6-8; 65:25)
And most importantly...
*God's name will be cleared of all blemishes and will be sanctified. (Ezekiel 36:23; Matthew 6:9)
In a nutshell, God's will will finally be done on earth, as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10), and his original purpose for the earth will be realized (Isaiah 55:11). This gives us such over-the-top-amazing hope. So much more so than what any earthly government can promise, much less deliver. The political circus on earth will be over. The greedy pockets of false religion will be gone. The bickering, fighting, killing, power-control, vulgarity and hatred will end. Sickness, disabilities, and ill-health will be gone. Even death will be no more.
Can you imagine it? Can you feel it?
If you like Bible prophecy (or would love to learn more), and would love to experience life under God's Kingdom, and under the reign of his son, and our king, Christ Jesus, then now is the time to be awake and pay attention. It's honestly not going to be long now. We are living prophecy, and watching it play out.
Religion will be destroyed very soon, and many will rejoice; but they have no idea what's coming. The end of earthly religion is not for their own selfish desires, but rather due to the (deserved) desire of our Creator, as the only "religion" left standing will be the one true worship under him (Rev. 17:17).
Don't wait. Now is the time to come to "Jehovah's mountain" where life's water is given free (Micah 4:1-2). Happiness, joy and freedom can be found there, even during these last days.
Study the Bible. Jesus gives his teachings for free (Matthew 10:8; Rev.22:17); as in God's eyes, unlike the worldly way, the poor are equally deserving of this beautiful and perfect gift. God accepts ones from all nations, nationalities, age and economic status. He does not discriminate.
"And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John 8:32)
